###

no hearts no monarchs
no cartoon war lips on
basswood wide
potato chips backlit by
bags of body bye bye sun
cry rag sun

###

road used to go out
just that far just for him
white pines devouring
his name none recall
the clear way he had
of seeing nothing
when he saw
his hands
as traps
maple syrup taps
cryin clear
trees bleed reception

###

seems i don't need hardly a thing these days
first robin on first one she sees
red wine coffee cup
shot of schnapps
christmas in tucson
turkey foot's surveyor's bundle
signed the not waiting she
carpet foam saguaro
fours this dust between

###

and the winds get to going
and the pine boughs
itch at the edges of themselves
ocean or a coming train and
the endless swamp goes white
then green
as mold might host a bone
pitbull profile bobcat
skinned by the launching
swamp eyes softening

###

yes you are
about to blink
blink and sing
ditty riddle
cribbage peg crazy
hail only up up
thousand and 29 puppy teeth
pretzel this A string
acupuncture
for free
after hours
colander factory

###

in my littlest toe
porcupine lips
closing
on the needle
of a pine

###

tend intend then
out yr pockets
walk ghost guns
nimble handle quick
what's yr number
what's in fire

###

we'll wash next
week we'll wait and
wash in summer
marry with papers from straws
split up every third rain and
folks and by folks i mean good
dogs'll follow
win fan card grins wide
what came my show way
scavenger heart
a gather scatter stray

###

snaky rays ranger range
fox and coyote and bobcat
wooden ocean waves
cowroad deerroad froglode
broke eyepatch string
stretchy jogpant smell please
carpet foam sandwich toast
frozen mayonnaise blues

###

o you angel anger
just before the river
three stations
no regrets this one time
hiss seams
any branch an arrow
go long

###

preach a peachy peachpit street
soft little rescue
boat moan
now ya go on
what yr head legs
hands and gut hold only
now ya make aspen
frog coin stories
talkin with yr hands
out holes in knees
of jeans by frigate fruit
firelight fair

###

if only a summertime
of the mind
wildflower men
wide olde heads
like kidney coins
broomstick necks
diamond hips
of garden trowels
for adam's apples
on rain sage gnomes

###

nods off to no
treats his life like a short
cut to turpentine
left at that ass brick mailbox
right by the painted bunting
thru pope talbot trees
just a little gap rat
sliver light grinnin
opaque grape
down in mine
copper or coal
and a certainty
poisons the poison

###

the author
pees and the good dog pisses
just there
raw honey
in the rabbit ears
of the buck track

###

singing go pure
singing go tighter right here
go slimmer vegetable flesh cow water
go human doing's a hem
go puts a squeeze
go ravel narrow rave

###

cue cactus fred's cough button
again named him when  we
were not
strangers to private smells
wet dust bearding
the bathroom fan
old mr raisin eyes
akimbo in
forgiving canvas shoes
my dad maybe yours too
