Clifton Avon Edwards, aka Ukulele Ike (June 14, 1895-July 17, 1971)

A cricket-sized conscience for a puppet's comportment,
a Disney-sanitized insect who walked upright.

An elephant seen flying over Hollywood High,
an amass of cash and its accompanying leeches.

An indulgent indigent, haunting the lot until
convalesced in Virgil Village, the studio, silent, footing the bill.

An unclaimed body, made public property, then purchased and
buried in Valhalla, on Victory.
